Manejo conductual de pacientes pediátricos con trastorno por déficit de atención e hiperactividad en odontología: enfoques clínicos y pedagógicos

Resumen

El Trastorno por Déficit de Atención e Hiperactividad (TDAH) es uno de los trastornos del neurodesarrollo más frecuentes en la infancia y se caracteriza por inatención, impulsividad e hiperactividad, lo que puede dificultar la cooperación durante la atención odontológica. El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar la evidencia científica reciente sobre estrategias de manejo conductual en odontopediatría para pacientes con TDAH. Se realizó una revisión narrativa mediante búsqueda en PubMed, Scopus y Google Scholar, priorizando estudios de los últimos cinco años relacionados con TDAH, manejo conductual y odontología. Las técnicas estructuradas, como comunicación guiada, refuerzo positivo y distracción, mejoran la cooperación y reducen la ansiedad. La aplicación de estrategias adaptadas al perfil neuroconductual del paciente con TDAH optimiza la atención odontológica y favorece experiencias clínicas positivas.

Cirujana dentista egresada de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) con Maestría en Endodoncia. Cuenta con experiencia como docente en el posgrado de endodoncia, impartiendo clases teóricas y clínicas. Ha ejercido como odontóloga general y como endodoncista en el área metropolitana. Ha participado en programas académicos como Mujeres en la Ciencia y en intercambios internacionales en Perú y Brasil. Es miembro del Colegio Neoleonés de Endodoncia y ha asistido y participado como ponente en congresos nacionales e internacionales, con reconocimientos en investigación y actualización profesional.

La Dra. Perla Bueno trabaja en la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL). Cuenta con una licenciatura en Lingüística Aplicada y una maestría en Psicología Educativa. Se desempeña como docente en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la UANL, donde imparte asignaturas como Psicolingüística, Psicología del Aprendizaje de Lenguas y Competencia Comunicativa en Inglés. Asimismo, es profesora de inglés en el Departamento de Lenguas de la misma universidad. Ha formado parte de un programa doctoral en Psicología con orientación en Educación. Su trabajo académico se centra en la implementación de tándems académicos guiados como estrategia para fomentar la autoeficacia en el aprendizaje y mejorar la competencia comunicativa de los estudiantes.
