Desarrollo de habilidades de escritura en estudiantes de ingeniería a través del enfoque de escritura procesual-genérico: Una revisión de literatura

Resumen

Esta revisión de literatura tiene como objetivo describir estudios que resaltan los desafíos de estudiantes de ingeniería al aprender inglés, especialmente en términos de comunicación escrita. Además, este trabajo sugiere la implementación del Enfoque de Escritura Procesual-Genérico (EEPG) como una metodología efectiva que fomenta las habilidades de escritura de los estudiantes. Los estudios descritos sugieren que entre los principales problemas se encuentran la falta de motivación, el bajo dominio del idioma, las deficiencias en las habilidades de alfabetización y la falta de compromiso de los docentes con la enseñanza de la escritura. La literatura sugiere el EEPG como pertinente y útil para desarrollar las habilidades de escritura técnica. La implementación del Inglés para Propósitos Específicos (IPE) se presenta como una forma efectiva de integrar el EEPG para desarrollar las habilidades de escritura técnica y la capacidad de los estudiantes para adaptarse a diferentes contextos y géneros de escritura.

Biodata
Cindy Alejandra Rosales Contreras is a language professor who graduated from Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, UANL. She concluded a master's degree in Higher Education in 2021 from Universidad Metropolitana de Monterrey. Currently, she teaches EFL at college level and is studying a master's degree in Applied Linguistics. The research areas in which she is interested are education and culture, applied linguistics, and language teaching. She is an activist who advocates for neurodivergent rights.

 

Nallely Garza Rodríguez, Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León

Biodata
Nallely Garza Rodríguez holds a doctorate in Bilingual Education granted by Texas A&M University-Kingsville and a master's degree in sciences of Higher Education. Currently, she is a full-time professor, researcher and coordinator of the BA program of Applied Linguistics in Teaching and Translation at the School of Philosophy and Arts at UANL. She is a candidate member of the National System of Researchers (SNII) and president of MEXTESOL Chapter Nuevo León.

Francisco Javier Treviño Rodríguez, Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León

Francisco Javier Treviño Rodríguez holds a Doctoral Degree on Administration and Political Science, Master´s Degree on Administration and Human Resources, and a Major on Applied Linguistics. He is the Principal at the School of Philosophy and Letters since May 2023.
He coordinated the Department of Foreign Languages Learning, and he was also the coordinator of International Issues at High School # 3, UANL. He is author, co-author, and coordinator of several academic English, literary, and Administration books, including the current English books of UANL High Schools.
